There is no excuse. If there is an area of public funding that shouldn't be scrimped on it is education. Its an investment in our country's and our society's future!

Exactly. And they save on those they deny who don't or can't appeal and take it this far. I think all sides feel like the current system is fundamentally broken.

I think Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall said it well when he said something like "I understand the instinct to defend yourself, but at a time like this he really should be listening". GW really ought to be taking responsibility and realise it is not OK! He doesn't get it. And that's part of the problem!

This has gone on for too long. The first accusations should have left him in no doubt that his behaviour was unacceptable. The dinosaurs become amazed when the world moves on faster than their attitudes. Us guys need to do better at calling it out and consigning this behaviour to the history books
