I absolutely know that. Not oblivious. But this unfortunately is how things are set up in the United States. Believe me, I wish it was the opposite but that’s not something our country does. So not sure what point you are attempting to make…. Weird flex

Never said it made me more important. You seem to think you’re the most important person in every room though. There are much bigger issues with this bill and this administration than the extra $20-$40 you’re going to pay each year. That’s nothing on top of the 50k you already pay right?

I can tell you are a nightmare at every restaurant you go to. People shouldn’t have to pay taxes on tips to take care of the dime a dozen assholes like you they deal neither on the daily.
June 4, 2025 at 7:40 PM
I hope it does pass then. You deserve to pay for it since you just think you’re better than everyone 🤣
June 4, 2025 at 7:36 PM
For some of us that extra money means being able to put ourselves through more college classes, paying student loans, buying a home, etc… you would pay more in taxes if they raised the minimum tipped wage too which I’m sure you wouldn’t like. Either way, you’re mad about people making living wages
June 4, 2025 at 7:35 PM
If that’s the case then why are you mad about people who work just as hard as you I’m sure getting paid a more livable wage? Just say you’re a cheap ass and stay home
June 4, 2025 at 7:30 PM
Okay then. I guess I don’t 🙄
June 4, 2025 at 7:27 PM
This only applies if all tips are in cash. If you tip 18 instead of 20% on a card then that directly cuts the servers income and they still pay taxes on that.
June 4, 2025 at 7:26 PM
And it would cost the government…not you. Unless your name is Uncle Sam it doesn’t come out of your pocket.
June 4, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Most people tend to tip more than 20% where I work fyi. But what you’re saying is that you should get to tip less and expect the same level of service. That’s where the disconnect is. You want more for less is what your saying
June 4, 2025 at 7:21 PM
It would only remove the taxes on cash tips. Tips that are handed to you by a customer in cash. Most of us don’t make cash tips and most people don’t claim them already. So therefore it really wouldn’t affect you now would it? Dipshit.
June 4, 2025 at 7:18 PM
lol. Sure thing dude. Don’t you think people have been fighting for a better minimum wage for a while or are you oblivious to that too? You sound like a crybaby boomer for sure
June 4, 2025 at 7:15 PM
No need to name call and get all bent out of shape my lil fragile ego bearing dude. 🙄
June 4, 2025 at 7:12 PM
But that’s what you don’t get apparently. I pay taxes on tips because they are on credit cards. They are tracked and accounted for. You act like we won’t be paying any taxes at all and that you are going to foot the bill. It’s clear that you don’t understand how it works.
June 4, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Well it seems to be a mysterious situation to you. You clearly don’t understand it.
June 4, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Riiiight….but here we are in America and that’s just how it works. If you don’t believe in tipping then stay home. Super simple. People have to live and you think differently I guess. Your beef shouldn’t be with the people working for tips. It should be with the employers who don’t pay a living wage
June 4, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Everyone’s taxes go towards things they don’t partake in. But tell me more about how you think you’d be paying more in taxes because servers get to take home an extra $50 a week
June 4, 2025 at 7:05 PM
You’re assuming people are only getting tipped in cash and assuming they are claiming all of that which isn’t the case. Most tips are on credit/debit cards and are already taxed. I usually owe still owe 2k-3k at the end of every year. Just say you’re cheap bro
June 4, 2025 at 7:02 PM
That goes the other way around too. If you don’t want to tip, then why should you get good service, if any? If you don’t believe people should be compensated appropriately for doing their job then stay home.
June 4, 2025 at 6:55 PM
As someone who works for tips…20% is still just barely enough. In Indiana where I serve, we only get paid $2.13 per hour. We also have to tip out the bussers and bartenders so we never see even close to that full 20%. Not to mention…credit card tips are still taxed. Do more research

No. It doesn’t you doughnut
