Max Verstappen wins the Qatar Grand Prix and shrinks the gap to 12 points in the title race. McLaren deciding not to pit during the safety car proved costly.

While soft tires would be preferred, there's no way that either McLaren could make it to the finish on a set of scrubbed softs at this point. This could be Max's race to win.

Crucial pit stop for Lando Norris. A superb in-lap from Lando and stop from the mechanics slotted his car just in front of Fernando Alonso. Every extra car ahead of you might as well be another brick in the wall around this track. Passing is nearly impossible.

Nico Hülkenberg's day is done after he gets clipped by Pierre Gasly while passing him through Turn 1. I wonder if McLaren will regret not pitting under the resulting safety car.

A clean start in the sprint. Even Yuki Tsunoda still being a team player and giving his spot to Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen wins the Las Vegas Grand Prix and keeps his long-shot bid for the title alive. Lando Norris nurses his car home to a second-place finish. He would've been in real trouble if the race had been one lap longer.

Tale as old as time. Hamilton vs. Alonso.

Really aggressive defense from Lando Norris at the start, but he couldn't keep Max Verstappen or George Russell behind him.

Uhh... Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, stood next to F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali during the national anthem before the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Incredible pick-six for Pitt... Let's not talk about the interception for two on the two-point conversion.

Our kicker hanging on for dear life to tackle the returner. Pitt has all hands on deck for kickoff coverage.

What a frustrating way to end the half. I can't believe that this wasn't ruled a fumble or even reviewed.

If this is a textbook pass, Oliver Bearman and Max Verstappen are taking the 200-level course.

What was Oscar Piastri thinking?! An aggressive restart move gets him 2nd, but he locks up and slides into Kimi Antonelli, who then collides with Charles Leclerc. I would be surprised if Piastri gets a penalty.
