All setup! And it looks so satisfying 😍

It turned out to be really simple once you handle the strings in segments instead of being one whole object.

Just have the controllers to polish and some clean-up to do and that's a wrap! I'm so pleased :)

Outfits are in!
I still need to do some outfit specific rigging, just so that everything is as good as it can be.😄

I also have to slot each outfit rig into the rigUI layers without making it look busy... got a couple ideas for that though 📝

Here's what I have made for the finger correction!😁

It might be overkill, and it did take over 3 hours... But i believe that it's the little details like this that make a big difference overall!
It's all about keeping that volume preserved :)

Just finished up the wrist!

I found that, using 4 bones for each axis of correction and parenting that to a semi-rotating bone works really nicely!
The forearm twisting correction is something simple but very effective at reducing the "candy wrapper" effect.

Here's what i've ended up with for the upper arm deforms!😄

Using a bunch of transformation constraints layered on top of each other, it resulted in this really nice variety in the bicep motion as the forearm rotates!
I'm very happy with the results :D

Spent the whole day working on the thigh deforms... It's not 100%, but it's definitely an improvement from my old setups!😄

I've got the twist/breakdown bones left to do here, and a lot more learning to do in the future. but for now, i'm pretty pleased.

After studying some references and posts from other rigging artists, i've ended up with this clean DEF setup for the torso/shoulders.

With this rig, I'm challenging myself to take my DEF layer to the next level.
So far so good!😄

Auto shotgun shell ejection!

Driven by super flexible curves bound to the armature. Allows super quick and easy animation instead of struggling to pose each shell everytime.
