I actually had this EXACT SAME experience last week because an artist’s account on X was hacked and dm’d me. Also, X support is still a pain in the ass because they can’t “verify if you’re the original account owner” and other bullshit like that

I contacted X support multiple times, but their response was “sorry we can’t help you since we can’t verify if you’re the original owner go make a new account instead”. I don’t know how I could get my account back but yes I desperately need it back. (4)

I was sent a screenshot from another person of the hacker/scammer trying to use my account as a puppet for their disgusting scam. I am unable to log back into my account and get this problem fixed. (3)

That person in question pressured me into changing my email address to their provided one and so I did. Unfortunately, they also pressured money out of me in order to stop the “permanent suspension” through a process. I almost did, but lucky my Discord friends stopped me before I did. (2)
