Maybe we just all need to send him our own peace prizes and then we’ll be able to have health insurance.

And even if the idea of impeachment was unpopular, effective politicians could make a case for it and move public opinion. Do Dems think the acceptance of an odious idea like mass deportation just happened on its own? The GOP banged their drums for decades and eventually people listened to them.

Coming soon: “Heckuva job, Greggy.”

My apologies then. I read more into your statement based on the context of my first comment.

Private equity like this exists for one reason: to provide extra earnings to the people providing the capital. This scheme might provide an early boost, but the vultures will eventually demand higher returns and these will come at the expense of the state, university, and fans.

Removal by the 25th ultimately requires two-thirds of both the House and Senate. Is your argument that it will be easier to do that than to get a simple majority in the House and two-thirds in the Senate? There are senators that would vote for removal by the 25th but not removal after impeachment?
December 10, 2025 at 1:36 PM
Successfully removing via the 25th Amendment is a higher bar to clear than good ol’ impeachment and conviction. The 25th is a pipe dream that will just get in the way of normalizing the idea of impeachment.

Exactly. Every cent I’ve spent on life insurance has been wasted. Health insurance is similarly perceived as a bad value for people who are lucky to be so healthy. And people don’t realize that the reason healthcare in the 50s was cheap was because sick people just died.

Awesome. Does anyone ever give you the side eye for flying your drone there?

What I hear in Utah is that the Democrat would have been worse, no matter how bad the Republican is. I bet the same is said in other deep red states. Curtis was accused of being a Democrat as mayor and thought to be a more moderate representative. He’s been corrupted by Trump if he wasn’t already.

This should a political slam dunk, a sort of Housing New Deal that provides more housing and jobs and less homelessness. Worried about changes to the “character of your neighborhood”? Do you want your children to be able to own a home in Utah or not?

It’s fine when constructions like that come up in other languages. I just reserve the right to ignore anyone insisting that I abandon a demonym that is in the name of the country and is actually older than said country. I wonder, do Germans get annoyed at their demonyms in English and French?

You’re right. I misunderstood the first part of your post. Sorry about that. I do doubt that any Canadian or Venezuelan wants to be called American though.

The United States of America is the oldest modern independent country in the Western Hemisphere. American is a totally appropriate demonym. Do you also insist that Mexicans abandon their demonym since they are officially the United States of Mexico?

Looks like KSU’s OC discovered Scalley’s Achilles heel. There were several plays where the defense was completely unprepared while Scalley was still trying to call in the play.

Trying to learn by AI is turning out to be as effective as just hanging out with smart people. It’s probably less effective.

I wish people would recognize this fact. To remove via the 25th requires more votes than removal by impeachment. Mentioning the 25th at all just dilutes the the message. We should be pressing for impeachment and conviction.

Interviewers need to bring flash cards with grocery items and prices from this year and last on the back. Play a little game with the interviewee and make it fun for all of us.

All insurance is a waste if you are lucky. If I don’t count the piece of mind I get from having insurance, every penny I have spent on life insurance and disability insurance was wasted.
