Please read more carefully and don't lump me in with the reply from someone who seems to think it's a problem with the employee not doing their job. I have been very clear that it has been a long term failure by the management. I was also pointing the historic not for profit value of the post office

Dee where did I say that!

Naive blaming people based on some video you saw!

Your lucky not everyone has a shoppers close to them, plus these small post offices are losing money so your suggestion is already a failed solution. The post office was for everyone regardless of where they live, plus they continue to fail in competition with for-profit couriers.

So if your company goes bankrupt (it happens) and the corporation lays everybody off, it's your fault? Look up layoffs for a more comprehensive picture. If you have a beef with unionized workers OK, but this discussion is on how the post-office might move into the future.

You have the right to your opinion on how corporations work and I have my knowledge and experience so there is no use in continuing the discussion.

I suggest you study who is responsible for quality control.

Letter mail is all but dead.
December 12, 2025 at 2:23 PM
That's what got them into the problem in the first place. Mail is mostly dead but small packages people to people is still na important necessity.

All I see is a constant stream of AI generated kitten videos. I certainly don't trust videos. You are talking about a management issue!
December 12, 2025 at 2:17 PM
If you can find them as they weren't seriously considered by management, there were some ideas that could have brought the post office into the 21 century. One simple out of the box would be to delivery medicine to shut-ins and at the same time check on their well being.

Too easy to blame on CUPW. The post office was always a not for profit service.
December 12, 2025 at 12:50 PM
As they say fish rots from the head. For so many years they tried and failed to compete with the courier company, while pricing themself into irrelevance for micro business and individuals like you and me. They failed at the job of being part of the glue that holds the country together.

Sadly it's a mistake to think this is Trump's plan and will go away when Trump leaves the Whitehouse.

Of course Putin does it was written by KGB project 2025 infiltrators.

Still not my point, Copilot and Gemini are incapable of acting as medical advisers or of so many other tasks that people think they could do as it's not in the nature of their design. But specialized system could. Calling everything by the common buzz word AI is very misleading.
December 5, 2025 at 11:21 PM
That's true but using systems like chatgpt for medical or other specialized purposes will always result in a high number of 'hallucinations'.
