Interviews suck. I wish I had advice there. Keep an open mind and be prepared to jump ship once you see an opportunity. In the meantime, evaluate the amount of work you do versus your paycheck. Compare it, objectively, to your coworkers. Are you doing too much? Think about ways to reduce.

Perhaps... Start shopping around. That's what I did. Went from $60k a year to $95k a year just by shopping around for a new job.

This is how I understand it too.
Basically saying that the US can indict any foreign leader, invade their country to kidnap them, hold them for ransom.
