Download the 10x damage mod and every enemy goes down in one fell swoop. Then you actually get to enjoy focusing on the content of the game that changes in each playthrough, and you’re more encouraged to explore with less threat and there’s cool stuff to explore and piece together

I HAD THE SAME FEELINGS -- I downloaded a mod that made me do 10x damage just so I wouldn't feel like I have to replay it 3 more times and could just focus on the story. Made it much more bearable.
