Season 1 has a ton on necessary world building and character set up that will pay off later, but sorta slows down the pacing. I really like what season 1 does with the air temple, demonstrating cultures and Zhao and Zukos animosity

Yeah 100%, also 2/2 is just small enough that it actually dies to drown in sorrow and grim bauble still and that ends up making the land less sticky then id like

I was looking at dai li indoctrination but decided that card is sorta bad :/ I could DEFINITELY see it being good in the right scenarios tho

Also the 61/14 is some whack shit im experimenting with that gives me an extra silver bullet game 1 and let's me side back to 60 games 2 and 3.

High tide has been a weird variable for the format. It requires specific answers and when you dont have those you watch a 15 minute turn hoping they fizzle. Not really healthy for tournament play or fun for casuals, and while it doesnt ruin the format, I do believe it makes it worse.

Ive been playing the sickest alter tron list I've ever brewed. It uses cauldron familiar and a ton of the food cards (candy trail, lembas, golden egg, and instant ramen) to make Ashnods live outside combo and if you empty your deck lembas familiar and ashnods goes infinite for game!!

Huge flavor win that they want you to clone shadow the hedgehog and the result is all the clones dying.

I've been playing a sick ashnods altar tron list that wins with either molten Gatekeeper or lembas and cauldron familiar. Decks sideboard is insanely versatile too.

Deadly Dispute: this was needed. Black is one of the most powerful colors in the format between affinity jund dredge or any of the rogue decks splashing it, dispute created too much card advantage, ramped, fixed and fueled affinity. Needed ban.
