I think I cried very few times in all of my 20s. Raising Callie just uncorked something in my emotions haha. I don’t mind crying though, it’s just strange/interesting how anything will get the tears going nowadays.

Music for escapism is totally valid, but when you’re an active, touring band, posting a ton on social media, and NOT talking about this shit, then that’s a stance you are intentionally taking.

I’m sorry for all of the vitriol you have to face and endure, but thank you for your courage to be a voice for queer Christians.

There really is something so therapeutic about trying to channel your thoughts into poem form. My most recent journal entries have all been in that format, because I feel like it engages the creative and rational parts of my brain without me trying too hard.
