If you're just trying to get through the eden questline, and don't want to wait around, you can ask people in shout chat, and do it unsync'd, or set up a PF saying it's unsync'd. Of course the downside to this, you won't know the mechanics when they do pop up in roulette.

Or at the very least, complain about it in a CWLS with your friends, if you're in one, and not in alliance / party chat. There are days where I don't like XIV pvp, but I try to keep positive in alliance and party chat (I also just don't talk period.) Just do the roulette and move on.
