Much needed weekend of reprieve with good food and good animals.
Also hope folks have a wonderful time at FC this weekend. I thoroughly considered it.
Early train up to Boston for ANE. Did not expect to see so many other furries on the same ride, but it’s a welcome surprise.

Requisite 2025 retrospective: difficult year with a lot of difficult firsts I never wanted, but I was also finally reminded of so much about who I am that I had forgotten. I do have agency and I can make right the parts of my life that seem written; they're not, I write them and I still have time.

Tore through Silksong over the weekend and just hit credits. I personally really enjoyed it, maybe more than the original, especially as it starts to pick up after a fiddly start.

Work has been a shitshow this year and I think it's only a matter of time before I need to plan my exit. Industry is in such a horrid state right now. The sooner the AI bubble pops (and it will), the better for everybody.

Much needed weekend of reprieve with good food and good animals.
Promise this'll be the last XIV post for a while, but what a tier! Might be my favorite since Eden. Refreshing to see the formula shaken up to this extent and a willingness to explore gameplay elements I thought they long abandoned. Faster mechs, less downtime, and so, so much more for tanks to do.

m6s down last week, and m7s down today. Might be through the tier by next week? Mostly out of my comfort zone as a first-time tank (usually heal), but I've had a ton of fun and I'm with a supportive group.

Hey furry adults: if you're having a scaled-down event and you need to exclude people, that's ok. But don't make a secret of it and don't put your guests in a position where they feel like they need to lie about it to their friends. It's weird and deeply puerile and damages trust.

I got addressed by a student as "Professor" for the first time last week and I did not expect it to feel some kind of way, but hoo boy did it ever.

Been seriously considering giving Mandarin another go, but seriously this time. Always had the interest, but fell shy of being willing to fully commit to it in the past with other priorities taking front and center.
