Girls man. They should run everything. Claire (she’s 4) started soccer for the first time tonight, and she takes a long time to acclimate to new things. She was near tears most of the night and barely looked at the field.

This was an election about nothing where no one put forward a vision for any version of Ontario. It’s a hallow win that comes with no real mandate and we’re just left with a tired and morally bankrupt government.

Yesterday I spent an hour outside walking the dog and then the kid to school. For some reason -20 wasn't so bad. Today at -25 I was pretty frozen in 10 minutes.

I'm such a nerd. I was walking the dog the other night and saw The Canadian Via Train going by and I shouted with excitement "Monty look it's the Canadian!" like a six year old ... Thank goodness the noise of the train ate the audio for any passerby.

Surely one of the best creative decisions (among many) this season of Shrinking was the use of Looking Too Closely by Fink - it really just gets at you coming up from the background into a scene.

The Holdovers really is the best Christmas movie to come out in a long long time. Finally managed to watch it last night and it’s a strong recommend from me. The acting, the mood and just the aesthetic are *chefs kiss*

I’m trying RuneScape for the fist time the last few days (OSRS of course). It’s very compelling. It’s nice having an old school MMO experience that feels fresh (for me) - with games like UO etc I just can’t go back anymore. So this gives a nice vibe.

I have a double ear infection right now. It’s given me brutal tinnitus. But the other thing it’s done is made it so I can hear my heart playing on a rubber band in my ear (is what it sounds like). Quiet is the devil right now. It’s tinnitus whine in one ear, heart drums in the other.
