This is a really important read for many people out there, as this has been erroneously reported.
The spending bill DOES ban HRT from Medicaid, which is horrific.
It does NOT ban ACA/Private plans from covering it, as Gillian Branstetter of the ACLU lays out in her thread here.

Seeing a lot of confusion about the budget's provisions on trans care--it would strip Medicaid funds for trans care (which is awful enough) but it would NOT prohibit private insurers from providing coverage for trans care. It actually does something far more narrow and wonkier

Now the whole concept of "prettiness" is bullshit and rooted in a lot of stuff I do not want to get into now, but the fact that it is stupid and made up unfortunately doesn't reduce its *material relevance* towards people

Like even if every person considered "pretty" does put in massive effort, (and in most cases, it very much DOES) I feel like it discounts the very real experience of the many many times where someone tries their hardest at something and *fails*
