While CloverWorks' other project in the season My Dressup Darling S2 (which I also like!) definitely received more production budget, this level of quality for KaoruHana is something I'm very happy to see coming to life! I need more seasons of this.

On the production side... it's great, everything simply allows the manga to express its emotions in full, the visual is soft, the animation is gentle, the music guided the emotions and the voicework gave weight to every word... their expressions which tell a thousand words are perfectly conveyed.

How the characters grow past their prejudice, open up to each other, and simply grow to understand each other's hearts, is just endearing and beautiful. The way the characters speak truly carry the burdens of self-doubt and also the hearts that care about others. It's sort of a sappy story, though.

If anything, the story can perhaps be a bit optimistic at times, but its heart is in full view and I absolute love it. The story is much about passions, empathy and prejudice. Our characters are a bunch of awkward dorks, they have something within them that don't quite fit in.
