Tired of the news. It's all more unbelievable than the previous story.
The unfrozen characters are 'housed' with Austin and Evil, despite everyone saying how it's not necessary, because the differences aren't that big, but British Intelligence insisted on it....

so they have more mundane 'fights' like with an HOA that wants Dr. Evil to take down his fence that's 6inches too high, or asking Austin to drive an electric vehicle over a gas-guzzling VW Bus or something

As for Austin Powers and Dr. Evil - I always kind of envisioned they'd both retire from spy life/evil genius life, and end up moving into the same community. .

and now they're unfrozen. and the differences are......... well, much less remarkable. the writing can try to 'ham it up' with the differences between the 90s and today, and have the unfrozen characters be like 'oh yeah... that makes sense' and go on.

this is a great time to take the premise from the original movie and flip it around ever a little. Take a scene from the first movie, and create a sub-plot to it. where one of the henchmen for Dr. Evil ends up getting frozen, along with one of the agents from the 90s that were working with Austin.
