With that being said, I can more get behind inconsistent pacing being a little weird, since I don't necessarily find myself liking stories that are way too front-loaded or back-loaded. And of course any piece of exposition can theoretically be incorporated lazily or tastelessly

I've just kinda concluded that some people are more patient than others, since there are indeed great stories out there that are nothing but fun twists and turns. But as I get older I find myself appreciating a "less is more" philosophy in art, and I hope more people come to understand it as well

As for the second point, something that might seem arbitrary or irrelevant to a lot of the people just wanting to get to the juicy developments of the plot, might actually be a very meaningful piece of the puzzle for underlying intentions regarding the characters or the main point of the piece

It's happened a lot, where I enjoy a story for (what I interpret as) being intentionally slow burn, letting you chew over drip-fed pieces of information, multiple narrative branches, or slowly building up an overarching theme, only for others to disregard it as "bad pacing" or "dragging on too long"

I even found the version of the patch that doesn't mess up your memory card, which is awesome. Anyways, persona 2 is cool.

Runs pretty great too, only a few hiccups here and there. I was afraid it might not turn out so good, since i heard ps1 disc burning can be finicky. High-ish burn speed worked well enough (avg: was about in the mid 20's for me). I guess the rule of thumb is low speed for saturn, high for ps1? Eh idk

This whole ost is great btw, I suggest checking it out. The cathedral theme is also one of my favorites, and putting it on this year I found myself really liking the womb theme. I guess isaac can be considered a spooky-ish game, maybe I'll play some of it next halloween.

Following SMT, I played Ib for Week of the Wicked last night. I had a fun time replaying it, despite being an older game it still definitely holds up. Might finish up the playthrough sometime relatively soon www.youtube.com/live/MmT9ORI...
