Since Muslim BlueSky is kind of quiet, I think I'll repost things that I find elsewhere, onto my page here.

Hopefully this will be of benefit to someone other than myself too.

Dear Muslim, have you noticed that whenever we talk about evolution, we're usually on the defensive?

We're always at pains to demonstrate how the scientific evidence either doesn't contradict Adamic Creation, or how to address things if it does.

"The Fastest Debate in History!"

Imām al-Rāzī entered one of the mosques in Samarkand to pray. There, he found the mosque's shaykh explaining his books incorrectly. When al-Rāzī corrected him, the shaykh became furious, got agitated, and demanded a public debate to refute what he saw as

Al-Bayhaqī narrates in Aḥkām al-Qurān & in his Madkhal:

Al-Muzanī & al-Rabīʿ said: One day, we were with al-Shāfiʿī when an old man came to him and said, "May I ask a question?" Shāfiʿī said, "Ask." The man said, "What is evidence in the religion of Allāh?" Al-Shāfiʿī replied, "The book

Prepositions may seem minor, but they play a major role in Arabic. They help verbs connect to their details, clarify meanings, and introduce new ones.

In this thread, we’ll explore their primary function with examples. Let’s dive in! ⬇️

Learning Aqeedah is important

But it’s best to learn from those closest to the Prophet ﷺ

And Imam At Tahawi رحمه الله is all you will ever need

Definitely better than anyone of the last few hundred years

SERVING THE EGO: WEAPONISING RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE

IBN MAS’UD ONCE said: ‘Allah looked at hearts of His servants and found the heart of Muhammad ﷺ to be the best of all the hearts of His servants. So He chose him for Himself and sent His message with him. He then looked at the hearts of His

IMAM AL GHAZALI ON THE REALITY OF THE WORLD

Allah said:
“The worldly life is nothing but an illusionary enjoyment”
[Quran 3:185]

Man is but a traveler in this fleeting world, the mother’s womb his first station and the grave his final stop. His true home lies beyond.

Poem from imam al-Shafi'i.

Here, he advises against focusing on just the legalistic (external) aspects of Islam, or just the spiritual (internal) aspects.

Rather, one must have both, being neither cold-hearted nor ignorant.

May Allah allow us to reach his great status.

So-called scientific miracles in the Qur'an usually suffer from one or more of the following problems:

1. The science is wrong
2. The way scripture is interpreted is wrong
3. A forced scientific interpretation of the verse obscures its core spiritual message.

A nice quote by Imam al-Ghazali (d. 505) on confidence in learning.

If you don't learn how to form and understand arguments, you'll forever play the "he said/she said" game.
