They do appear to have been genuine nuclear sites, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organisation has put out a statement. They argue these are civilian sites, although that's a fine line, which is why the IAEA monitors the sites.

The text on the back of this vehicle says something like "stay 100m away", but nobody does. Local drivers regularly weave in and out of American patrols, and the extremely low local casualty rate means the Americans are relaxed enough to let it happen.

I first saw camels on the way to my first deployment to Raqqa in 2017, and was obviously excited but just assumed that it was normal. You know, middle east, desert, obviously going to see camels, no big deal. This is now the second time I've seen camels.
