If a team wants to pay one player so much that The rest of their players are on minimums, fucking let them. If a team wants to pay a player who sucks a million dollars, fucking let them! I'm all for parity, but you ultimately can't protect teams from themselves

Also I saw someone complaining about the league not announcing this prior to a team using the rule. It's in the CBA, which has been publicly available for months now, and in the 2025 Competition Manual (i.e., it's been available at least since the beginning of the 2025 season)
*basically just a league minimum contract with no team bonuses allowed. Teams can sign up to 4 each year

Any time I watch BYU play any sport on ESPN, it is weird how much the announcers love to talk about how great BYU is, no matter what is happening in the game.
Example: Right now where they're down 6-0 to Stanford and they've spent about 2/3 of the time talking about BYU

Rose's game winner is a perfect example of how meaningless xG can be without context. Her shot had .09 xG, which means of all shots from that position, only 9% score. But I guaran-fucking-tee you Spirit ran drills specifically to prevent Rose (or Jaedyn, tbh) having that exact shot

JCA knew he could keep Reale on because the ref would give her a warning before tossing her, and then immediately went to Bruninha as soon as Reale got the warning. Honestly brilliant move. Refs HATE giving second yellows, especially for technical fouls. Which is stupid but JCA played it brilliantly
