Haha. My kid used to love the Weezer blue album and always used to sing in Say It Ain’t So “You’ve cleaned up. Found cheez-its. Things are good. Or so I hear.” It was a very plausible thing for them because finding random cheez-its in the car or in the couch was a common occurrence

I would say Star Trek series. But not too many movie franchises have multiple generations of film trilogies. Everyone always loves what was made when they were a kid more and there are now three groups of childhood memories fighting over Star Wars.

Thank you for posting about that. Because until you did it didn’t dawn on me that that might have been my fate if i didn’t focus on grabbing one the moment it became available. I can’t imagine anything worse than a mall on Black Friday.

100%. And in many ways they owe their existence to each other. The growing cult following of Star Trek through re-runs in the 70s and fan conventions gave Fox the confidence to greenlight Stat Wars. And the success of Star Wars helped paramount feel confident in taking Star Trek to the big screen.

I wonder what the basis of this victory is. And yes, there is no war. And plenty of room to love both. They both scratch such different itches.

That is amazing! I am currently reading the books and on #8! Not sure if you’ve ever read them (I had only seen the series) but they are sooooo good. And I am deep into story that they never did on the show.
