Of course! The leak at the Chinese lab released the malodourous humours that made COVID possible.

I would call it more like directed bribery. As 2024 showed elections are often decided at the edges and in America, the edges are the common clay of the new West. Those voters need direct evidence that they are being helped; tax credits won’t do the trick.

There is even a song about it which is doubly appropriate since most members of MAGA have heads like holes.

Well we certainly know which publications have run out of good ideas.

In that regard, only if they can cook. Never had it at my MiL’s as they were more into stuffed calamari, which FTR was yummy.

My first reaction was that I want some of the edibles they’re giving out at The Atlantic’s 🎄parties because their latest stories have been “WTAF?”

Well we know that Trump is spending 🎄with those who love him best: Stephen Miller and Russ Vought.

She has written for The Federalist so she has that going for her. But seriously folks, this strikes me as whining “But what about the Clintons?” and “How dare they not take the Bill bait!” Also this re: Trump:

I especially like the KCK reference. Very topical for those of us who also follow sportsball.

It seems to me that The Atlantic is quadrupling down on contrarianism even as Trumpism and its satellites are (way too) slowly spinning down the toilet.

I can come close. How about in the style of 1940s Detective Comics?

That is spectacular! Congratz to you!

See Willie Sutton and the famous comment concerning his chosen line of work. We’re in a bit of a social-media Klein bottle here.

I’m still very curious about the “many more” turn of phrase. If it were 8 times and he claimed 1 or 2, doesn’t feel like a “many more” situation to me.

I respect WBF but we all marinate in this 💩and can’t really judge the common clay. I would also argue that 60 Minutes at best hits the next layer of the informed. I do think that this news about the segment may cause others to look up the seg. As others have said: Streisand on Internet steroids.

I guess they figured that one Tarlov was enough to prevent another $800M loss and the rest could be decorative bobbleheads.

Thanks for the description. I looked her up and I saw Reason and said “I now know enough.“

Since I’m old I now want a caricature of Trump as Orangeface done in the style of the old Dick Tracy comic strip.

The problem with applying Hanlon’s Razor ("Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity“) nowadays is that there is so much of both malice and stupidity floating around.

BlueSky Dems tend to be their own genre and as insular as Twitter used to be, this hecksite is downright incestuous. Even people whom I respect here seem to be afraid of a Karl Rove/Dan Rather redux situation. Newsflash: I consider Rove overrated but he is Hawking compared to the current 🤡🚗.

The producers tried to get comment from the administration; at that point it ceased to be their responsibility. Weiss wasn’t trying to improve the piece else she would have bothered to show for screenings. Please don’t shill; think WWDD (What Would Dan Do?).

It’s good that you’re raising awareness of small independent films. 😂

His resilience in repeated Dem wave elections has been both remarkable and annoying. I’m not so sure this time: the suburban Dem shift coupled with his abject cowardice with discharge petitions won’t serve him well.
