5 months after abdominal surgery, I somewhat unexpectedly deadlifted 420. I'm stoked.

The manager's main jobs are to get player buy-in for what the front office wants to do and to be the public face of the team with the press and the fanbase. There's no reason Stammen couldn't be good at both those things.

Pretty unexpected, but Stammen was looked to as a leader during his time here

The new moneyball is a manager players will listen to but will do what the front office wants

Bruce Bochy seems philosophically aligned with Preller so he might be a good fit from that perspective, and a team full of veterans is Bochy's wheelhouse. But is it weird to say I still don't think Bochy is who the Padres need? It probably is weird but I already said it.

I didn't want to see this, but I couldn't look away. Padres 2025 postseason batting line:

.189 / .243 / .305

.242 wOBA

If I were in charge I'd offer Preller an option. Tell him we'd love to keep him but we need some changes. Modernize the front office and focus on efficiency. His spending tied up too much money on aging players. He tried to be the Yankees but it backfired.

Tatis was so far behind that strikeout pitch. Ughhh

If this it I think it may be time to part ways with Preller. He's great at finding talent, which is the hardest thing in baseball to do, but chose to trade most of it away. He spent tons of money and the team is now backed up against a wall because of it, without much to show.

Hoerner time that jump terribly and made the play look much harder, yet is getting showered in praise. Sports are funny
