The speed paints I’m watching, I swear, they only use, like, three brushes at *best*, and their pieces are STUNNING because they’ve learned how to make the brush do what they want instead of relying on baked in shapes
So I think imma go back to basics; nothing but a round brush and maybe an airbrush

Watching speedpaints because I’m at the point of the art cycle where it feels like I’m stagnating in improvement
and I do believe, mayhaps, that my love of textured brushes is putting me at a disadvantage; basically, they’re doing most of the heavy lifting instead of it being pure skill
