Simon's enemy is his mother, Delora Whitelily. She raised Simon to be obedient, loyal, and fearful--intending to prove to Cazador that his 'training techniques' had significant room for improvement.

Simon's tent is, much like Gale's, full of books. His bedroll is enchanted like a Bag of Holding to feel more like his palatial bed back home (and makes it easy to share his bedroll with Astarion~). He's filled it with cushions and pillows they swiped from Waukeen's Rest.

Simon, as High Priest, ended and began several traditions when he took power in the temple. He ended the regular practice of Sacrifice of the Body and other Sacraments of the Flesh; it's now purely a funeral rite rather than throwing kidnapped travelers into the maw of Hadar.
