জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির আহ্বায়ক নাহিদ ইসলাম বলেছেন,সরকারের উচিত জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানে 'হ*ত্যাকাণ্ডের জন্য দায়ী' আওয়ামী লীগের নিবন্ধন বাতিল করে দলটিকে 'সন্ত্রা*সী সংগঠন' হিসেবে ঘোষণা করা। আমরা জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টি এই দাবি জানাচ্ছি।'তিনি এই দাবি নারায়ণগঞ্জে জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির ইফতার মাহফিলে ভার্চুয়ালি যুক্ত হয়ে প্রকাশ করেন।
