I'm really struggling because, for years, I knew things were bad and getting worse, and people around me didn't believe the severity. Now that things are horrible and quickly getting worse, I've found myself insisting on my existence in communities and projecting my empathy and feelings on others.

Very sad to see NBC Out go down. I know journalists who have worked there and it was home to some of the best in depth reporting on LGBTQ+ issues out there from a legacy media outlet.
