Poor choice of book aside: the answer is yes, but the answer is also, who cares? Getting into a hobby in order to connect with other people is literally how you are supposed to do it. Learning guitar in the hopes that girls will be into it still means you learned guitar.

Are they all totally finished? No. Are they good? Almost certainly not. But there's something so satisfying about seeing all of your chapters are all finally *written*...
