Award winning Pharmacist and Labour Member of Parliament for North Somerset. The views I express are my own.
It was great to discuss prison leavers with the Wates Group who have been supporting prison leavers for over a decade.

Their work demonstrates how investing in people creates a ripple effect, reducing reoffending, lowering public spending, and strengthening communities.

It was great to join @HelpforHeroes in Parliament to discuss the need for urgent reform to the Armed Forces medical discharge process.

Too many veterans feel failed by a system that should protect them.

🚨 Good news 🚨
Hungry children struggle with attainment and behaviour at school which is why the Government has announced an expansion of free school meals from September 2026.

This will save families up to £450 per child, a year and will help lift 100,000 children out of poverty.

I worked on the NHS frontlines as a Pharmacist during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I saw first hand the devastation for families who lost loved ones to the virus and the strain on NHS teams.

25 November marks White Ribbon Day, the international day to end violence against women and girls.

This year’s theme is 'We Speak Up' because letting sexism slide, whether it’s “jokes,” catcalling, staring, or comments, puts women and girls at risk.

Delighted to have been re-elected as Co-Chair of the Beyond Pills APPG!

With nearly two decades as a pharmacist, I've seen firsthand how critical it is to move beyond over-prescribing and medication dependency for treatments.
