A few bugs caught and improved performance so far; got rid of our two most expensive queries for example 😀🚀

Looks like we'll have to look into having a second active AWS region; the price of success and having so many ec2 instances created is that sometimes a few fail 🫤

Multi-threaded code is hard 😅 , see the issue in this example (thankfully this was happening in the special case of our own E2E test via API we run periodically but still).
