Did You Know? You can't hide from it. A 2017 study found that working memory is compromised by the mere presence of your cell phone, even when you turn it off or ignore it. Proximity appears to matter: The closer the phone, the greater the detriment to working memory. Store the phone in a separate room— as far away as you can—to preserve your cognitive focus.
