Why we do what we do. How to make our lives a bit better. What really matters.
The United States has long dominated global higher education, with 72% of the world’s top 25 universities. The Trump administration’s attacks on colleges, mainly through funding cuts and a crackdown on free speech threatens this competitive advantage. Do you support free speech and our universities?

If You Don't Have Money, Send Your Words!
I do not go a day without receiving a solicitation for money to support our constitutional rights. Money is fine. But your words only cost you time and can have a far greater impact. Let your elected officials know how you feel before it's too late!

One way to make your wishes known is to use your feet. If the supermarket from which you buy your groceries announces that they are no longer going to support diversity hiring practices, you can choose to buy elsewhere. You have the option to use your feet and the power of your purse.

Choice
The first choice in life is to choose or to be chosen. I was not very good at basketball; my short stature didn’t help. If chosen I was always the last. With maturity, I've become the chooser. Now, friends play my choice of game. In today’s political world will fate or you make your choice?

People's Power
Power comes in two versions: those things we do and those things we don't do. Campaigning for your favorite candidate is an example of what we can do. Refusing to buy from a retailer that fails to support your values is something you don't do. Doing nothing is a fool's alternative.

The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees [were just like the axe] because his handle was made of wood; he was one of them."
Are we foolish when we vote for someone without any proof of their allegiance to our values?
