Charon is a topic of study for my friend @spacewhalerider.com, and for cool space science I recommend reading about their work on its relationship with Pluto!

Pluto may have captured its moon Charon with a kiss
When Pluto met Charon, there was an instant connection, new simulations suggest.

The truffle has a mostly-smooth hazelnut filling with the most interesting mouthfeel. I looked at the ingredients and was surprised to discover it had pop rocks in it!

I love hazelnuts, so it was very tasty, though as with many truffles I thought it could have been hazelnuttier.

On to Day 3 of #SageDandelionAdventIsh! I ate this chocolate a few days ago, but I should post before I eat the next one.

Today’s moon is Charon, the largest of Pluto’s moons. The chocolate was a “hazelnut comet” with the absolute most gorgeous marbled/star effect purple outside.

I very much enjoyed The Incandescent by Emily Tesh recently-ish! And for cozy fiction but a little more going on, I recommend the Mossa and Pleiti books by Malia Older.

Wired headphones are pretty great! My partner’s nephew asked him a few months ago why his headphones had a wire attached to them and it was both adorable and a moment of reflection on the state of general-use technology.

Every year I wonder if Apple will finally realize this market and release a reasonable-sized phone. Every year I am disappointed.
November 25, 2025 at 7:02 PM
It seems like an edge case but I also know LOTS of women who refuse to update past an iPhone 12 or 13 mini because we don’t want a huge heavy phone that hurts our hands to use and doesn’t fit in our pockets!

I’m incredibly lucky to have a doctor willing to prescribe those meds based on small case studies; many people don’t have that access, and won’t until larger studies are done.

That’s a reasonable perspective, but also there are medications that help with post-concussion syndrome. I take some of those for my LC-related brain fog, based on small case studies, and have helped me immensely. It would be good to see larger studies of medication-based interventions.

(and everything I say here applies to #ME/CFS as well.)

#LongCovid is not “in your head.” You can’t CBT it away! It involves brain injury and, likely, ongoing neuroinflammation. You have to actually resolve those issues to resolve brain fog, and that requires medication.

I find this study outcome a bit positive. Maybe we can study real treatments now?

About 20 years ago, my mom and I said “you know, we don’t like turkey (especially as leftovers) and we keep Thanksgiving just our immediate small family. Let’s just cook a chicken instead” and it remains so much better. Less stress, less food waste.

I’m glad! The next day will be probably Sunday or Monday, since I’m away for the weekend and did t want to bring it along and risk melting the chocolates in the car.

We get three of Pluto’s moons in the box!

We actually ate this chocolate yesterday, but as established, I am bad at both daily habits and actually posting things online!

Day 2 of #SageDandelionAdventIsh: Today’s moon is Nix, another one of Pluto’s small and more recently discovered moons. The chocolate was a Schwarzwälder (Black Forest) truffle with chocolate, vanilla, and cherry layers inside. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate + fruit, and yet this was incredible.

The one referencing potato slices in socks? Yes, absolutely.

I’ll look forward to their truffle! 😸🐘
