I was gonna mention @obsidian.md, too. The fact you can use mermaid diagrams, LaTeX for notations, and obviously markdown is great.

I have not tried obsidian sync, so I don't know what their cloud features are like, but I can always sync files over proton drive, if needed.

You should probably upload your past works and watermark them, then. You can always add a noise screen as well, so removing it will be harder.
