Thrilled to be a part of this wonderful e-anthology - not just because I'm among my favourite writers, but also because this is such a great cause. Thanks so much @taniahershman.bsky.social for making it all happen💚🌟💐

I love him too! I once meet a cowman on a train and asked if he had a favourite cow and he said there was one who used to put her head on his shoulder and he would feed her Polo mints... there's a cow story in me somewhere...

“Enough cannot be said about Aldridge-Morris’s ability to pin an era. She is simply a wizard of time-and-place vibe.”

What a tour-de-force! Absolutely love this story. Brings back BIG memories, but also, the idea of a farmer who can identify his cows by their munching noises alone has in some way changed my life⬇️⬇️

In the mood for nostalgia? Thrilled to have my East Berlin story published by @doesithavepockets.bsky.social

"Jan has no time for their cotton-candy happiness. His father disappeared 5 years ago. No Stasi shadows, no neighbours with a grudge. Just gone.

I had this when my then toddler wanted to watch 'the marleys are dead.' 'What?' 'I wanna watch THE MARLEYS ARE DEAD!' This escalated into crying and screaming (her, not me) until I realised it was The Muppet Christmas Carol. Actually, rather a good choice.

Well, one things for sure. It had nothing to do with that angelic looking dog you’ve got there.

Whooo! I've read Cold Toast by @kazbarwrites.bsky.social and it truly is phenomenal! Can't wait to read the review, and also the review of The Missing Girl.

Sounds intriguing and much needed… we need to understand why seemingly ordinary well-meaning people are attracted to the far right, not just focus on the ‘typical’ white male angry racist misogynists.
sagreene1.bsky.social
Hmmm... that's a difficult one for me, Sumitra. Maudlin House and trampset spring to mind as litmags that welcome a variety of styles...
sagreene1.bsky.social
ooh… I want to read it when it gets snapped up!!

I saw what I think must be the same one too. I might not have anything brilliant or innovative, but I won't be sending my stuff their way.
