Composting pine needles takes patience. On the right are two year old pine needles. Center is the shredder. In front are shredded needles. The left is a pile of grass. Behind is the compost pile. And the red hose.

Turkeys taking on cattle!
Finished compost in August, pile started in September - will start hot composting in May, pine needles to set over winter - will hot compost in Summer and add when composting the next year.
