Oh, I’m sorry, are we really assigning more credit to lawmakers passing something only after it becomes popular than to the social movements and activists on the ground that predated these policies by years?

Liberals didn’t do that, the left did.

Meh, my honest take is that the Democrats never really cared about stopping the tide of fascism in the US. Consider that increases in military and police budgets are bipartisan efforts, and then consider that when fascists come to power, those are the two institutions they use to protect that power.

I usually say something along the lines of “it’s similar to DnD but my group prefers smaller indie games”.

This isn’t even true though. These days women make up approximately half of the consumers in the video games industry.
