9.4 mil is not 3.5%
December 6, 2024 at 10:58 PM
9.4 millions, you know what is the % of population?
December 6, 2024 at 10:56 PM
"In the early 1980s, it became the first independent labor union in a Eastern Bloc country. Solidarity gave rise to a broad, non-violent, anti-Communist social movement that, at its height, claimed some 9.4 million members. It is considered to have contributed greatly to the Fall of Communism."

And you’re insulting more than 50%.

"...commonly known as the Stasi, had approximately 90,000 full-time employees and around 170,000 unofficial collaborators (Inoffizielle Mitarbeiter) by the late 1980s. This combined total suggests that nearly 2% of the East German population were involved in official capacities."
2%

Which exact part is untrue in your opinion? I will gladly provide you with sources and numbers to back my thesis.
December 6, 2024 at 10:49 PM
Why are you insulting me? We're not talking about isolated cases—every society has its worst individuals, but the majority of people are not like that. I’ll emphasize again: communism would never have fallen without the courage of the vast majority of society.
December 6, 2024 at 10:46 PM
I'm talking about the overwhelming majority - communism wouldn't have collapsed if most people had been informants. Besides, you have no idea why people informed in most cases. It wasn’t because they hated their neighbors. That’s an ultra-ignorant perspective.

No, because I actually experienced living in a country which USA is not, by any means.
December 6, 2024 at 10:39 PM
I don't know, maybe imprisoning people for having views different from the ruling party, confiscating passports, or banning free use of the internet? Is this question serious?

personal experience
December 6, 2024 at 10:36 PM
seriously?
"Researchers at iSeeCars do not attribute the fatality rates to the vehicles sold by each brand in and of themselves, but more to consumer behavior and how customers of each brand operate on the road."

It's intriguing that only in countries with a high degree of freedom people are eager to think about their fellow citizens in such a pejorative way. In contrast, in countries where there is a real fight for freedom, the majority unite as one and have much greater respect for eachother.

How many chart you think you drew roughly in your life? And do you keep them by chance?
December 6, 2024 at 10:15 PM
I know people asked this milion times, but why do you draw charts?
December 6, 2024 at 10:10 PM
So, it's not as bad as your posts here might suggest. I understand why people leave the country, like your relatives who had to flee. Clearly, you're exaggerating a lot, because what’s happening in USA now, no matter how bad it seems, is a million miles away from why your relatives ones fled Europe.
December 6, 2024 at 10:08 PM
We've already established that, but I still don't understand what's stopping you from leaving. Are you hoping it will turn out not to be so bad after all? Don't take this as trolling—most people here have only recently joined bsky, and your posts often appear in 'discover'.

No, i'm just not afraid. But maybe that's because I'm not that smart.
