What exactly did you learn about Substack that made you choose Medium instead? Just curious.

Uh, gotcha! WordPress.com, Tumblr.com, Medium.com, and Substack.com are currently the best options. If you're looking at spending a few bucks per month and potentially earning some back, I'd say go with the last two options (or simply use them for free). Blogger.com is also an option, but a bad one.

May I suggest @ghost.org? With all that's been going on with Matt Mullenweg, no one can really tell us if WordPress (.org) will stay active.

I think pressure is part of their job though 😅 Comes with the industry itself.
