It all depends on the game. If it's cosmetic only (I've not played Gost of Yotei so I don't know if this is the case here) then I'll equip it straight away if I like it.
If the gear has stats I usually avoid using it at all on my first play through.

Oh, please don't take it as a annoyance or trying to rush. Just hadn't heard anything for a while so I wasn't sure if it was still something you guys were doing. I look forward to reading it when it's ready :D

I binged the series and enjoyed it. It wasn't spectacular but it was a decent watch.
