It’s been a fun cruise so far traveling from LA to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, & Puerto Vallarta.

Today we are back at the Port of Los Angeles where some of our good folks are disembarking. The rest of us will remain on ship to visit Ensenada

It’s a good traveling group!

It’s been five years since Fr. Jasso (11-26-1932 to 02-12-2021) was called home by the Lord. We miss his leadership, guidance, & friendship. His calm, compassionate & loving Christian manner was always so comforting. He truly reflected the best attributes of a Pastor.

Our next stop along Mexico’s Pacific Riviera was beautiful Puerto Vallarta. We spent the day at Mismaloya Beach. The beach is 15 minutes from city center & is located in a cove near rock formations known as “Los Arcos” surrounded by palapa style restaurants. Relaxing day!

It was Mazatlan Monday!

Yesterday, we visited Mazatlan - a beautiful city with stunning beaches, colonial architecture, renowned for its fresh, tasty seafood, lively “Banda” music and a 21 km (13 mile) long boardwalk - El Malecon - considered the longest in the world.

Blessed during my service on FW City Council (2005-2017) to have served four memorable years (2013-2017) w/our wonderful amiga & council colleague Gyna Bivens. She was a remarkable person w/strong advocacy, a servant’s heart, kindness, & compassion. She will be deeply missed.

On cold winter evenings, nothing like Marias Cookies. Fond memories of eating these cookies with my beloved mother Edelmira 🙂

En las tardes frías de invierno, no hay nada como las Galletas Marias. Lindos recuerdos de comer estás galletas con mi querida madrecita Edelmira.

Saturday’s excursion took us from base camp in Glen Rose to Stephenville which proudly declares it is the “Cowboy Capital of the World”& home of Tarleton State University. We enjoyed a tasty meal w/Elizabeth’s/her Mom’s family members who live nearby. Love visiting Texas towns!

Yesterday our camping group conducted a “scouting” trip from our base camp in Glen Rose to Meridian State Park for a possible future adventure. We liked this state park. Texas has many wonderful state parks!

Cowboys fans for life!

Despite a disappointing season and official elimination from the playoffs, the dream of a winning an NFC Campionship and Super Bowl remains even if it has been 30 years since the Cowboys beat the Packers in the NFC Championship and the Steelers in Super Bowl XXX.
