on a kind of funny inconsistency here! Especially when analysing the impact of Assad's incompetency and what was happening in the desert, between al-Hol, Roja, and elsewhere. Just pure analytical circus.

Perhaps it was the best seen in Syria in last almost three years, ever since I came back here after cancer and depression almost ate me. You can literally check Foreign Policy/Affairs articles every half a year claiming the collapse/or rise of IS Central and nobody bats an eye...

I am writing this because it's at this point have been many years since I got into this business and have witnessed various periods, where people analysing trends just get hilariously overconfident based on jihadists lower volume of attacks. With ISKP I have witnessed it thrice.

The thing with ISKP is as with IS elsewhere - until their highest leadership is confirmed to be destroyed, then some careful estimates may be conducted. Here we can't do that since Mujahir and the rest of psychos are well and fine, despite Baloch nationalists raiding them.

There is another wave coming from the US, wave coming from Europe, Tajikistan and friends will also be hysterical because of Chinese interests threatened by terrorists.
The potential for Islamic State to exploit all of this is incredibly high.

Now with basically over 5 mln of new citizens who have barely ever been to Afghanistan or are completely new here, after Iran and Pakistan conducted the biggest in years surgical removal of population, forcing Afghans to salvage their property in those countries.

But months later, Baghdad discovered it really was the Islamic State!
Iraqi IS was in the middle of being massacred by US Special Forces and Iraqis bombing the hell out of their leadership, so something may have been lost in comms regarding New Orleans.
November 27, 2025 at 1:18 AM
Last successful attack was the New Orleans - confusing for everyone, including the Islamic State that even put out a separate editorial saying that there is a complicated process for them to acknowledge attackers of this kind.

Last year two brothers were arrested, one in the US the other in France, ISKP too. Multiple cases of Uzbeks connected to that one famous smuggling Central Asia network, that tried to send people through Mexico. They have been trying for year. But let's wait and see what's here
November 27, 2025 at 1:18 AM
There have been quite a few IS-alligned jihadists from Afghanistan infiltrating US on the ISKP orders, but all were at some point busted before an attack or while fundraising money for ISKP or IS Central through Turkey.

-Why al-Qaeda is rushing towards an unprecedented for salafist jihadi victory
-Why they still have to watch out for the venom of the Islamic State
-why the Islamic State is such a problem, while al-Qaeda is winning?
-Can al-Qaeda run government?
-Both groups appearing in Nigeria
