also, i knew where the unsecured loaded firearms were at 8 in the 80s. never touched that forbidden fruit despite getting into other stuff i was told i wasn't supposed to.

a combat vet that raised me said that is it shoots a projectile, it is considered a gun. the damage is less relevant than the fact that we disobey that logic and the safety warning on the packaging. we desensitize people to pointing guns at each other because, "it's just nerf."

nerf gun packaging says not to point it at other people. at least it did 20 years ago when i last checked. nerf guns are guns. that is what i was taught and the package confirmed as such.

my new fangled tablet gps in a 20yr old car is used as a paper map with features. you are here always updated. traffic conditions updated. end point marked on map. but still just a mapsco or rand mcnally.

i believe that was how the gun import ban worked. colt and sig were losing at capitalism, so they had republican reagan do a gun control for market purposes.
