I think i bookmarked some fucked up horror movies a while back. I should make a project to watch and rate them. Some of them are supposedly the most fucked up movies ever, the themes being very sadistic and in theory traumatizing

I’ve never been big on horror cos imo it’s so poorly made and not scary. Only relying on jump scares and super basic “spooky” costume is SO bland to me. I want to watch shit that genuinely is disturbing (which I know exists, have just never researched enough to find something worthwile yet)

I feel like early 2000’s was the sweet spot of good movies. at the same time theres a lot of absolute garbage cranked out atp too, but I feel like that comes with any decade

I feel like so many new movies don’t excite me. Idk if it’s cos so much of them are heavily CGI based, to an extent i wonder if it takes away from the aesthetic/art in it. Imagine if we could bring back technicolor & utilize lord of the rings-esque filming mechanics/tricks
