I spent 15 years as a librarian. I can't emphasize enough the damage it did to me.
If you care about freedom to read, don't just decry the book burners.
Advocate for better librarian pay and protection from harassment.

What do they sell at places like Best Buy anymore? Like, refrigerators or something? 20 years ago we went there for CDs, DVDs, games, etc. I haven't been inside one in forever, but I'm getting their black friday ads like clockwork.

Today my son (14, autistic) broke down after a friend told him another one of his friends had died.
My son was distraught for the afternoon while we desperately tried to contact this friend.
Turns out it was a "joke." I'm angry about it... teach your kids not to joke about death, plz. Ain't funny.

I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving. Mostly because it overshadows my birthday most of the time. Boo! But this one has been enjoyable. First one in our new house. Hoping the first of many.
