Yup. It is ridiculous. Same as self service tills. I feel for the elderly who used to be able to interact with people in shops or banks (very difficult to find now). They get more isolated and lonely by the month.

I voiced my complaint to nice guy on emergency line - he was 'sympathetic'. I can only imagine how many irate calls they now get.
