A record of the things I've enjoyed watching, listening to, reading and playing in 2026.
Please also bear in mind - I do not claim to have any kind of "good" or "superior" taste (in most things). I just like the things I like and don't really care much about how objectively good or bad that thing is meant to be. I live a happier life that way 😅

But overall, enjoying it! Few little niggly bits that are a bit annoying like not being able to undo an accidental action or weirdly sized items but they're minor enough issues!

Would recommend to anyone who enjoys housey-decoratey games!

Jan Albums (part 7)

--- listened to an album from them, just liked a handful of songs so wanted to give them more of a go! Wasn't crazy about the album as a whole unfortunately.
Rating = 3.5. Fave song = Master of Puppets (it's a great song really)!

Jan Albums (part 6)

--- has not really grabbed me!
Rating = 3. Fave song = Your Kind of Love.

- Back to Black (AC/DC): this is actually banger after banger tbh!
Rating = 4.2. Fave Song = You Shook Me All Night Long

- Master of Puppets (Metallica): my brother's fave band! I've never really ---

Jan Albums (part 5)

- Black Holes & Revelations (Muse): wasn't really into this album, think I only really like the first couple of Muse albums.
Rating = 2.3. Fave song = Supermassive Black Hole.

- Porcelain (Matt Cardle): v disappointing that Matt Cardle has such a good voice but his music ---

Jan Albums (part 4)

- A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (Panic! at the Disco): another of the core four from my youth.
Rating = 3.8. Fave song = Build God, Then We'll Talk

Rating = 3.92. Fave song = Mad As Rabbits

Jan Albums (part 3)

- reputation... (Taylor Swift): what I consider my fave TS album but interesting to see if ratings reflect that when I'm done!
Rating = 4.1. Fave song = ...Ready For It?

- Taylor Swift (TS): the debut, good ol' country pop!
Rating = 3.56. Fave Song: You Should've Said No

Jan Albums (part 2)

- Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (MCR): loved it v much because they are one of my bands of my youth, my "core-four" as I like to lamely call them 😎

Rating system = songs out of 5 and then the average for the album. This one was a 4.2. Fave song = I'm Not Okay (I Promise) obvs

January Books (2)

- All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries) by Martha Wells: listened to this on a few walks and definitely did not pay quite as much attention as I should've but really did enjoy it. Interested to read more when I get through some other books I'm looking forward to!

Jan Movies (part 9)

- LMM (cont): young me loved the LM show so rewatching this was a nostalgic dream. Gordo & Lizzie may have kickstarted my love of the friends to lovers trope tbh!
- 10 Things I Hate About You: really enjoyed again but not as much as I expected, interestingly enough!

Jan Movies (part 8)

Had a nostalgic day while I was feeling unwell in bed.

- John Tucker Must Die: I was obsessed with this movie as a teenager and it hasn't aged super well tbh but I still loved rewatching it way more than I was expecting to!
- Lizzie McGuire Movie: ohhh what a movie (tbc)

Jan Movies (part 7)

After watching Welcome to Derry, I went back to It 1 & 2!

- It 1 & 2: I just love these movies a lot, they're like a comfort movie at this point and I care about the Losers Club very very much! First is that bit better but I still love 2 a lot as well!

Jan Movies (part 6)

Onto non-Jurassic Park movies

- Nuremberg: really enjoy these kinds of movies and this was v good, great cast!
- Predator: Badlands: looooved this, was really fun to watch and very cool. Loved the characters!
- Freakier Friday: way better than expected! Really liked it!
February 5, 2026 at 10:59 PM
Jan Movies (part 5)

- JW3 (cont): it was a waste of Laura Dern & Sam Neill, honestly!
- JW Rebirth: better than JW2 and JW3 but not by much. More enjoyable to watch but the characters were a bit uninteresting (despite a great cast) and others were annoying (par for the course for JP really tho)
February 5, 2026 at 10:59 PM
Jan Movies (part 3)

- Jurassic World: probably the best one after JP1, really. Nostalgic enough, characters were not yet clearly boring, Morgana from Merlin, Blue being the best girl - not bad really at all.
February 5, 2026 at 10:46 PM
Jan Movies (part 2)

- JP 2: pretty awful & a bit boring, annoying characters, but overall not a bad watch.
- JP 3: so very bad but I really enjoy this one - dream dinosaur saying "Alan", phone ringing from ninja dinosaur's belly & some actual good scenes at the aviary - excellent stuff!

TV Shows (part 5)

- The Simpsons (been rewatching old seasons with K, v comforting and nice to see him being so nostalgic over them <3)
- Dynamite & Collision (AEW wrestling - this will be ongoing the entire year, 2 shows every week - good stuff happening!)
February 5, 2026 at 10:35 PM
TV Shows (part 4)

- Paradise (friends had recommended it to me and I didn't know much about it; binged the heck out of it, so good! Such a good cast!)
- Bridgerton S4 (I'm genuinely loving this season so far, Ben & Sophie are a delight to watch - It always ends up pulling me in!)
February 5, 2026 at 10:35 PM
TV Shows (part 3)

- Heated Rivalry (finally got around to watching it and I loooved it, they do so much and made me so invested in such a short number of episodes - the acting & direction & lighting & everything was just excellent)
- 9-1-1 (latest season came back, enjoying it so far)
