This is soon going to happen to the trees and last remaining green field next to my house. Despite fighting against planning and winning, we lost on appeal... but there is only one road to enter, and I love the foxes, badgers, squirrels, birds so much I may still barricade it

I used to work in a library that had a silent short loans section. I had to cover it for 2 hours every day, so I decided to exclusively read religious texts while I was in there. As religious texts go the Old Testament is hard to beat

Ha! The second live music performer I ever saw. His brother used to live in my village. I was about 6 and I can confirm I found it terrifying (The first was The Bannana Splits - I drank too many of those pyramid shaped squashes and got so excited I was sick, passed out and had to be taken home) 👍

Just to say, I absolutely do not blame the students. The support issues they present with are ever more complex and difficult to support. I've been in this business most of my adult life, and I feel like they (all of us) are living in a society that is driving isolation and lack of human connection

I work in H.E. support, this sadly really resonates. Life on campus feels a world away from where it was pre covid. It's a struggle to even get students in. Every year, assessments and content have to be reduced in complexity. The passion to learn & the sense of community feels almost non-existent

It is exhausting when you just want to be able to get on, isn't it. I'm much better, thank you, glued back together with various quality 'middle age helping' drugs and potions 😄x
