NYS is having its worst influenza season to date in 20 years with a record number of positive cases in one week (last week). I know four letter words can be triggering but it wouldn’t hurt to mask up around anyone with cold symptoms, travel. or large groups.

It’s like the Wild West of healthcare right now in the US. State health departments and medical organizations are trying to maintain some semblance of scientific evidence based medicine, while federal organizations like the CDC and FDA are making political statements based on rumors and conspiracies

Trump blamed “the shutdown” for democratic wins yesterday. It’s not the shutdown we object to, it’s the need for a shutdown because of the evil cuts his party is trying to make in the federal budget. He didn’t care that the shutdown was hurting Americans and federal workers, only the bad optics.

Don’t ever try to tell me the US is a “Christian nation” when we can’t even feed our hungry and help our needy. The only people “taking advantage” of the system and getting breaks they don’t need from our tax money are the billionaires.

The US Republican Party’s primary agenda for the past decade seems to be normalizing hate and WASP superiority. Never has it been so commonplace for Americans and even politicians to be loud and proud about being nazis. Even our POTUS isn’t shy about posting hateful racist rhetoric on his socials.
